Savanah, Kerwin's daughter, shared the news of her father's passing on Facebook on January 25. The previous day, Savanah Kerwin confirmed that her father had passed away. The family did not indicate the reason of death.

Savanah stated in the notice, "I am very sorry to those we were unable to contact personally, but Lance Kerwin passed away yesterday morning." He cherished every single one of you. As Danny Peters in Little House On The Prairie, the late actor Lance Kerwin rose to prominence as a child actor. It was Kerwin's fourth film appearance after making his debut in the 1973 film Emergency!

Kerwin was born in Newport Beach, California on November 6, 1960. When he portrayed Danny on Little House on the Prairie, he was roughly 14 years old. The television series, based on the best-selling books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, aired on NBC from 1974 until 1982.

The series centers on the Minnesota farm of the Ingalls family. Leading parts were played by Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, and Michael Landon within a huge ensemble cast. DANNY PETERS' ROLE ON LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE EXPLORED

Lance Kerwin portrayed Danny Peters in the third episode of the first season of Little House On The Prairie. The title of the episode was "100 Mile Walk."

 After a hailstorm ruins the wheat harvest of the Ingalls family, Charles Ingalls (Michael Landon) travels to find work in preparation for a harsh winter. On his trip, Charles encounters two friends, including Jack Peters, a hard-rock miner (Don Knight). Jack's kid, Danny Peters, is introduced later in the episode.

After Jack is injured by a dynamite explosion, Charles Ingalls offers the Peters family the money he earned at the mine.

A REVIEW OF LANCE KERWIN'S TELEVISION AND MOVIE ROLES

One year after appearing on Little House on the Prairie, Lance Kerwin received his big break. In the 1975 film The Family Holvak, Kerwin featured opposite Glenn Ford and Julie Harris. 

The next year, Kerwin starred in The Loneliest Runner by Michael Landon. From 1977 to 1978, Kerwin portrayed the title character in James At 15. As Mark Petrie, the late actor joined the cast of Salem's Lot in 1979.

Lance Kerwin starred in the Hawaiian Western historical drama film The Wind & the Reckoning last year. He died at the age of 62 after a lengthy film career.
