''Even Jesus can’t save Ghana if we don’t amend the 1992 constitution'' – Kwabena Kwabena states

A veteran Ghanaian singer and songwriter known as Kwabena Kwabena has said that even if Jesus Christ becomes president of Ghana, he won't be able to save the country.

Kwabena Kwabena said in an interview with Nana Yaw Gyebi, the host of Adwumapa Mbre on Connect 97.1FM, that the "treacherous" 1992 constitution should be changed because it is the reason why we aren't getting any better.

He went on to say that the only way to make sure the country moves forward is to change the constitution from 1992.

Kwabena Kwabena says that all of our politicians lie, and the 1992 constitution makes it hard to go after them even if they steal money from the government.

Kwabena Kwabena is said to have said, "Our 1992 constitution, which was written and used for 30 years, will force political parties to lie to Ghanaians." If you look at the people who benefit, the salaries, the bonuses, and other things like meeting allowances, you can see that this is not service.

"You are not serving the country; the country is serving you. We Ghanaians need to get together and talk about it. The constitution from 1992 needs major changes. That's what I think."
