The prosecutor in court gave a graphic account of the events leading up to the death of the Canadian man who was allegedly killed by level 100 student model Safina Diamond.
Authorities claim that Safina Mohammed Adizatu, age 23, received assistance from Technical Officer Michael Fiifi Ampofo Arku in committing the murder.
The deceased, Frank Kofi Osei, was a Canadian citizen who resided in Ghana and had visited the country on vacation, according to the police.
The victim was reportedly repeatedly stabbed in the chin, jaw, and back by Safina and Arku before being strangled. Safina is also known as Safina Diamond on social media.
When the two appeared in court in Adenta, they were accused of murder and conspiracy.
According to the prosecution's evidence, which was put up by Chief Inspector Jacob Nyarko, Osei, who is now deceased, visited Safina, his fiancée, who resides at Ashalley Botwe School Junction on Sunday, July 24, 2022, and made the decision to spend the night.
The prosecution claims that during the early morning hours, Safina, Arku, and other unidentified accomplices repeatedly stabbed Osei on his chin, jaw, and back before strangling him to death.
The Chief Inspector stated that Safina and Arku cleaned up the blood after the deceased had been in the room for a whole day.
The prosecution claims that the accused afterwards moved the deceased from the first floor of the multi-story building down the stairs, dropped him at the gate of the residence where the deceased had parked his Toyota Tundra, and then washed the blood marks off the stairwell.
On Tuesday, July 26, at around four in the morning, Safina called a policeman to let him know that her partner had just visited her and had passed suddenly in her bed.
The body of the dead was found at Safina's front gate after the police officer quickly notified the Police Patrol Team, the prosecution claims.
Meanwhile, Safina and Arku were nowhere to be seen.
