Prepare yourselves, "Power Book II: Ghost" fans, because season four is going to be an exhilarating journey.

Starz has announced that the popular spin-off has been renewed for another season, which is great news for fans.

The announcement came on Jan. 30, just a few weeks before the highly anticipated season three premiere.

"The captivating storyline of 'Power Book II: Ghost' continues to deeply engage our viewers and we are delighted to announce the commencement of season four production in anticipation of our season three premiere," expressed Kathryn Busby, president of original programming for Starz, in an official statement. The third season of "Power Book II" premiered on March 17, continuing

the gripping storyline from the season two finale that left fans on the edge of their seats.

The show fulfilled its promise of "new twists and new turns," concluding on May 26 with an exciting finale that hinted at an intense conflict between Tariq, Brayden, Effie, and the Tejadas — Monet, Cane, Dru, and Diana. The season four setup bears a striking resemblance to the spin-off's parent series.

Despite the disruptions caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Rainey Jr. and Paolo have shared with POPSUGAR that the fourth season of "Ghost" has already been filmed. "We completed our work two days before the strike started," Paolo shared, while Rainey Jr. confirmed, "Season four is finished. Within the books."

There is additional good news about season four as a familiar and attractive face will be joining the cast. Busby mentioned in her renewal statement that the fans are eagerly anticipating more of this thrilling series and expressed excitement about Michael [Ealy] joining the talented cast.

Indeed, the "Reasonable Doubt" star has been selected for a significant recurring role as Detective Don Carter, a promising NYPD officer whose path to becoming police commissioner was derailed when his wife tragically lost her life in a clash between rival drug gangs.

Starz has announced that Ealy's character, Don, will transition from his formal attire to a Kevlar vest as he takes on the role of leading an elite NYPD drug task force. It remains uncertain who he will encounter in season four, but Tariq, Brayden, and the Tejadas are probably among those he will come across.

Showrunner Brett Mahoney graciously shared an exclusive tidbit with POPSUGAR regarding the theme of season four on April 11. "I would like to inform you that the theme for season three was betrayal." "The theme in four is revenge," they politely stated.

The identities of the "Ghost" characters seeking revenge are still unknown, but the upcoming street war provides a significant hint. Discover all the additional details we have about season four of "Ghost."Season 4 Cast of "Power Book II: Ghost"

It is expected that Rainey Jr. and Paolo will be returning to reprise their roles. It is highly probable that Lapri will be returning as well. It is likely that Blige, Tonodeo, and Adams-Gray will be part of the returning cast. However, many are curious about the fate of McClain's Cane and whether his character survived the shoot-out in the season three finale. Currently, Ealy is the sole newcomer who has been announced, leaving viewers in anticipation of the remaining cast members.

"Power Book II: Ghost" Season 4 Plot

The finale of season three introduced a plethora of new challenges, but the ongoing street war involving Tariq, Brayden, Effie, and the Tejadas will undoubtedly remain a central focus of the plot. It remains uncertain which side will emerge victorious as both parties are vying to become Noma's New York distributor.

In season four, the attempted murder of Monet by the Tejada kids (and Tariq) will undoubtedly lead to further complications. And, it appears that Tariq is making efforts to prevent facing the same destiny as his father, yet inadvertently following in his footsteps. The season four plotlines seem to be never-ending.

When will Season 4 of "Power Book II: Ghost" be released?

Starz has not yet provided any hints about the release date for season four.

However, fans can speculate on its possible arrival by considering the timing of previous seasons. Season three completed filming in July 2022 and was broadcasted eight months later.

If Starz maintains a comparable rollout schedule for season four, considering the strikes, it may potentially debut during the spring or summer.
