Bawumia and Samira have announced a package specifically designed to support the children of bodyguards.

During yesterday's Islamic funeral for the late Fuseni Mumuni, bodyguard of the Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia, an important announcement was made. 

The Second Lady, with support from the Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, will be taking care of the education expenses of the deceased's children until they complete their tertiary education. This gesture was a touching highlight of the funeral.

The announcement was made yesterday during the Islamic intercession for the soul of the deceased bodyguard Fuseni, which unfortunate incident occurred recently on the Kumasi to Accra highway.

Yesterday's sombre ceremony for the bodyguard's soul was attended by esteemed individuals including the second couple, the former Chairman of the NPP, Education Minister Dr. Osei Adutwum, CEO of the National Petroleum Authority, Dr. Mustapha Hamid, Alhaji Ben Abdallah Banda, Chairman of the Ghana Hajj Board, who also serves as the Coordinator of the Zongo and Inner Cities Secretariat under the Office of the President.


Also present were the General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Frimpong Koduah, Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, Commissioners of Police Seidu Lansah, the Singlana, Habiba Twumasi, and several others.

The list of attendees and sympathisers was extensive, with many individuals taking turns to offer their condolences to the twin brother of the deceased at the Kanda National Mosque. 



The spiritual assignment was led by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

Alhassan Mumuni sat alongside the twin brother of the deceased, accompanied by little Amina and Suleiman, the children of the late bodyguard.

During his homily, Sheikh Arimiyau Shuaib, the Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, emphasised the fleeting nature of life and the significance of contemplating our mortality. He encouraged individuals to strive for righteousness in their daily lives.

The second couple, who were deeply saddened, graciously offered a donation for prayers to be said for the soul of the departed Fuseni, who has been a cherished member of their household for many years.
