Captain Smart turned down two ministerial posts from Akufo-Addo.


Outspoken media personality Captain Smart, also known as Blessed Godsbrain Smart, has revealed that he refused two cabinet appointments from President Akufo-Addo.

 According to Captain Smart, the Akufo-Addo administration offered him the position of deputy minister and minister for chieftaincy and culture, but he declined.

The Maakye anchor on Onua stated that he has no need of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and that he does not attack the government for personal gain.

"You allege that I criticize the government in order to be influenced. No! Permit me to state now that I require nothing from this government. I was offered a position as deputy minister, but I declined it. Then they said, "Okay, let's give you the Minister of Chieftainship and Culture," which I also declined.
