Release date for Outer Banks season 3 is announced along with preview images

Outer Banks season three release date and a sneak peek at the new episodes have been announced by Netflix to the show's audience.

The popular young adult series centers on a gang of teenagers known as the Pogues. Ward (Charles Easten), who had faked his death, was actually still alive when season two came to a conclusion.

On the other hand, Rafe (Drew Starkey) nearly killed Sarah while stealing the gold cross, but he managed to escape with it (Madelyn Cline). The Pogues broke free as the season was coming to an end and found themselves on a remote island.

Also shown to be alive is Big John. The 10-episode third season will premiere on February 23 on Netflix, so fans won't have to wait too long to see what happens next.

An official summary for the upcoming season was also made available by Netflix. It says, "After losing the money and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 sees the Pogues washing up on a barren island that, for a moment, feels like the end of the world.

The island's newest residents, who have given it the moniker "Poguelandia," spend their days swimming, fishing, and taking advantage of the carefree lifestyle offered by their temporary residence.

However, things quickly go wrong for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo as they find themselves once more in a race for the prize while also fighting for their lives.
