Bridgerton :There are 4 Bridgerton people who probably won't be in season 3 of Bridgerton

We're all waiting for Netflix's best historical drama to come back. But of course, we're talking about Bridgerton, and as we get closer to the new year, we can't help but get excited for the third season, which is expected to come out in 2023. 

We've started to think about who we might see in the new season while we wait. But we probably won't see some characters in Bridgerton season 3. What are they? Read on to find out.

Since Colin and Penelope's love story will be the main focus of the third season, we can expect Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan to be back in their roles. Lucky for us, they had already promised to come back earlier.

Phoebe Dynevor (who plays Daphne), Jonathan Bailey (who plays Anthony), Claudia Jessie (who plays Eloise), Luke Thompson (who plays Benedict), Ruth Gemmel (who plays Lady Violet Bridgerton), Adjoa Andoh (who plays Lady Agatha Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (who plays Queen Charlotte), and Simone Ashley (who plays Lady Violet Bridgerton) are also set to return (Kate). Ruby Stokes, who played Francesca Bridgerton, left the show after the second season. Hannah Dodd will play Francesca Bridgerton starting with the third season. Now, which characters are most likely not going to be in the next season? What we know is as follows.

Does Bridgerton season 3 have the Duke of Hastings?

Regé-Jean Page won't be back as the charming Simon Basset/Duke of Hastings in the third season, no matter how much we wanted him to. This shouldn't come as a surprise, since he wasn't on the show in the second season, either. 

But we had hoped he would come back in some way for the third season. Page told everyone that he wasn't coming back by posting a picture of him and Jonathan Bailey at Milan Fashion Week on Instagram. 

People started to think that since Page and Bailey were hanging out, this meant that Page would be coming back to the period drama.

 But Page put an end to those rumors in the post's caption. "The boys are back in town," says the caption. (By the way, I'm not going back to the show. That was made up by the papers.) But we had the best and most stylish catch-up I've had in a while over some really good Italian coffee and sunshine." 

Is Edwina in the third season of Bridgerton?

Kate will definitely be in the third season, but it looks like the other Sharma sister won't be.

 Charithra Chandran, who plays Edwina, told Entertainment Weekly when the second season started that she would be open to coming back for the third season, but she hadn't heard anything back from the creative team. 

Fans were happy to hear that. But in August 2022, Chandran told The Indian Express that she wasn't working on the third season because she was busy with something else. 

This proved that she was leaving the show. But this doesn't mean that she won't come back in a later season. She just won't be back in the third season that's coming up. Is Marina a part of season 3 of Bridgerton?

Marina, who is played by Ruby Barker, won't likely be in season 3 of Bridgerton. Why?

 First, it wasn't known that the character would be back for the third season. Second, Marina didn't have much screen time in season 2, and that wasn't going to change. She was only in one episode, and it seems like Colin's storyline was built around her so he could get over her and move on. Last season, her story was pretty much over. In fact, she doesn't show up much in the books, so there's no real reason to bring her back.

 Is Theo in season 3 of Bridgerton?

Calam Lynch's character Theo is another one who probably won't be back for the third season. In season 2, he was briefly interested in Eloise. Penelope tells Eloise that people in town are talking about her meeting a man from a lower class, which ends their relationship. 

Penelope tells Eloise a lie, though, so that Eloise won't try to find out who Lady Whistledown is. Eloise runs into Theo, and they have a private moment together before breaking up. In the second season, we never see Theo again.

Even though the actor would be willing to come back for the third season, it doesn't look like that will happen. He wasn't sure if he was going to come back. 

Also, in season 2, his character and Eloise seem to end their relationship for good. We do think, though, that he might come back in the season that is about Eloise's love story. He might end up being the guy she goes out with. 

Ton will be angry because he is from a lower class, but Eloise is kind of a rebel, so I can see it happening. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
