Amy Newman, a gospel singer from Ghana, said that she and her husband met in a nightclub when she used to go there.
In an interview, the gospel singer said that dancing is one of the things that makes her happy. She said that when she was younger, she would go to her brother's club in Takoradi just to dance to the music.
Amy Newman said, "When we get to the club, I will take the whole dance floor. I used to go to clubs when I was younger. One of my skills is dancing. So that's where my husband saw me. He was also in the club at the time. He saw me, but he didn't come up to me. After a week, he came over with his friend. So, essentially, that's where it all began. "I mean, dancing is one of my skills, and all of my kids can dance well. "You'd love to watch them dance," she said with a laugh.
Amy Newman said that her husband, who had been watching her dance at the club, told her that he loves her and wants to marry her.
She said, "He told me straight out that he wanted to marry me."
Amy New said that she said yes to his proposal and got married when she was 18 years old. The gospel singer has been married for 40 years and has been making music for more than 20 years.
