Power Book V: Influence’: The Show Is Cancelled

Since the first episode of the first show appeared in 2014, the Power Universe has become a monster. On his journey to become a legitimate businessman, drug lord James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) was tracked by Power as he rose and fell. After Power and Ghost's demise, a number of spinoffs have been broadcast.

Fans have been looking forward to Larenz Tate's Power Book V: Influence. Tate plays Rashad Tate, a dishonest politician vying for the position of governor of New York. The show, however, is no longer taking place. This is what we do know.

Rashad Tate's ascent to power was scheduled to be followed in "Power Book V: Influence."

2019 saw the conclusion of Power, and Starz revealed numerous new spinoffs. Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), who is dealing with the death of his father, is the main character of Power Book II: Ghost. As Power's genesis story, Power Book III: Raising Kanan serves as such. The 1990s-set sitcom recounts the adolescent years of Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis), the notorious character created by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in Power. Ghost's closest buddy Tommy's (Joseph Sikora) life in Chicago following Ghost's passing is shown in Power Book IV: Force.

Rashad Tate's second bid for governor of New York was to be the main focus of Power Book V: Influence. Fans had anticipated that Power Book II: Ghost would act as a covert pilot for Rashad's series because he was a significant part of the second season.

Influence, however, has ceased to be developed, according to Starz.

Power Book V: Influence has already occurred.

Fans were perplexed by Influence because the rest of the Power series had already launched and received approval. Regarding the state of his series, Tate has stayed secretive. He said to The Jasmine Brand, "Who knows if you're going to see him crop up somewhere." "Y'all will know what's occurring as soon as I find out what's going on."

We are aware that Influence will no longer be produced by Starz. Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the upcoming prequel to Outlander, and the Power Universe were two topics that Starz Programming Chief Kathryn Busby discussed with Variety.

Busby stated during the interview that the political drama Influence would not be moving further. It appears that Power Book II: Ghost will allow them to keep incorporating Rashad Tate's story.

For Power enthusiasts, it appears that something new is in the works.

An updated 'Power' offshoot is in development.

According to Deadline, a Power series located in London is in development. Busby, though, would not confirm or deny this. I'm not free to respond to anything along those lines, but I would say that we adore Power because it has the ability to successfully spin off, which is exactly what we have done. Which, in theory, we'd really like to repeat. It's wonderful that you can hear it.

If this is a means of Ghost's resurrection, we wonder.
