In front of Bawku SHS, three people are allegedly shot dead.
Unknown attackers have shot and killed three people in front of Bawku Senior High School.
It is unclear what started the incident, but according to eyewitnesses, the three were in a commercial vehicle when the attackers halted it at the school's entrance and opened fire on the occupants.
The deceased have been named as Bunyaminu Adam, Ibrahim Abdulai, and Fatawu Ibrahim.
The Mamprugu Youth Association, meanwhile, has denounced the fatal occurrence and noted that it is now the fourth on the same stretch in less than five months.
The youth stated, "We think the ongoing unrest on the roads and the Regional Minister's inaction as Chairman of the Regional Security Council lends credence to claims that these attacks are being carried out because the criminals feel protected by the Regional Minister who is a member of their tribe.
