Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomaa almost died yesterday after being attacked by armed men, according to a Ghanaweb report.
Kofi Adomah was allegedly attacked by these suspected armed guys on a motorcycle while he was returning from DAMAX Estate in Kuntunse, a suburb of Accra, when he was crossed by them.
According to the complaint, these unidentified males hurt the journalist with a sharp object before attempting to light him on fire.
When Kofi Adomah returned from visiting his home in the DAMAX estate in Kuntunse, he was attacked near Old Ashongman. The motorcycle-riding men stepped in front of him. They used sharp instruments to attack his face, but he deflected the blows with his hands and shoulders. They attempted to set him on fire by pouring what was thought to be gasoline, according to the source who spoke to GhanaWeb.
In an online video, Kofi Adomah can be seen at the hospital getting treatment for his bruises.
