The incredible story of how a star from "Little House on the Prairie" witnessed God's plan through a life-changing brain surgery.

Wendi Lou Lee, the actress from LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, went through surgery in 2015 to remove a brain tumour. In a recent interview with Fox News, she shared how she relied on her faith throughout the entire experience.

According to Fox News, Lee attributed her courage to her strong connection with God as she faced the daunting prospect of brain surgery and its potential complications.

During a 2019 interview with Fox, Lee mentioned that faith had a significant impact. Prior to my surgery, I felt a sense of despair. I continued to offer my prayers, humbly requesting his presence and support. And then, after surgery, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude...I simply experienced a newfound awakening in my faith, which instilled in me a sense of courage to share my personal journey, hoping that it may be of assistance to someone.

The surgery was successful, however, the recovery process presented new obstacles. She experienced sensory overload due to the operation. She faced challenges in meeting her own basic needs and was unable to provide the level of care she desired for her two children.

Lee kindly shared how the experience had a profound effect on her faith.

"This was quite a challenging situation for me," she mentioned. During that period, I perceived it as yet another challenging situation that I had to navigate. I believe it is best to have faith and trust that everything will work out according to a higher plan. Many individuals struggled to comprehend how that was possible.

She added, "However, I couldn't help but be reminded of the verse in Romans 15:13, which says, 'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.'"

"Even though you may not be feeling joy or peace in this moment of your life, please trust that God has a plan," Lee kindly added. After the surgery, I experienced an overwhelming sense of joy and tranquilly, surpassing any logical explanation. I believe that is because I have faith in God.

In her forthcoming memoir, "Red Tail Feathers," set to be released on August 13, Lee candidly shares her journey, from her role as "Baby Grace" on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE to the profound experiences of God's grace that have shaped her life..

"I have been a believer my entire life," Lee stated. I was brought up in the church, and it has become an integral part of my identity. However, going through a challenging experience often leads to personal growth and a heightened perspective.

It allows one to develop a deep connection with God that they may not have realised was possible. I realised that I truly rely on God more than I ever realised.

How do you find the strength to persevere when faced with challenging circumstances? At the conclusion of the book, I kindly encourage readers to embark on their own quest to discover their own red tail feathers. Lee politely said. "I kindly suggest taking a moment to reflect on your life and discover a fresh perspective on God."

Lee also explained the reason behind the resonance of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE with audiences:

"It portrays the universal longing for stories that are uncomplicated yet rooted in values of faith and family."

She mentioned that viewers seem to have a strong desire for simpler times, and the show fulfils that longing. The show focuses on the theme of survival and the importance of faith and family in overcoming life's challenges.
