Cheddar respectfully questions the government's decision to refund GH₵10k when GH₵30k was paid for Black Star Square.

Nana Kwame Bediako, a Ghanaian businessman also known as Cheddar, has shared that he paid GH₵30,000 to secure the Black Star Square for The Convention event.

An official communication from the Office of the President has been issued, informing the New Africa Foundation that their permit has been revoked. Additionally, it has been stated that a refund of GH₵10,000 will be made.

Could you please clarify your question?

The revocation of the January 7 communiqué was justified by stating that it was necessary due to an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at that venue.

The Convention, organised by the New Africa Foundation, sought to gather esteemed individuals in Africa, such as Professor PLO Lumumba, Peter Obi, Julius Malema, and others, to discuss the significant obstacles that Africa faces in its development.

On Thursday, January 11, 2024, he mentioned that the money has been paid and a receipt of 30,000 Cedis has been issued to us.

As per his statement, the payment was made through the New Africa Foundation, a non-profit organisation that he established.

Nevertheless, the permit issued by the office of the President for the event indicated that the payment was made under the name of the Black Star Line.
