Outer Banks’ Season 3 Teaser Breakdown and Release Date Speculation

Over the weekend, a sneak peek for Season 3 of Outer Banks appeared on Netflix's Tudum. Since this is the first news we've heard in months about the new season, we have to talk about it.

Here are the most exciting things we saw in the teaser trailer, along with more guesses about when Outer Banks Season 3 will come out since Netflix hasn't said. The teaser for Outer Banks's third season hints that Ward Cameron will still be the bad guy and that Big John will become the hero.

The last time we saw the Pogues, they were stuck on an island that they called "Poguelandia." From the trailer that came out on September 24 at Tudum, season 3 will pick up where season 2 left off. In the teaser, John B.

(Chase Stokes) says, "My dad always told me, 'Nothing good comes easy, and nothing worth having is given.'" "The question is, what will you do to win? How far are you willing to go to get what you want?"

In season 2 of Outer Banks, the hunt changed from getting the $400 million in gold back from Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) to getting Pope's (Jonathan Davis) birthright, the Cross of Santo Domingo. At the end of season 2, the Pogues are without crosses on Poguelandia. In the preview for season 3, it looks like Ward gets his hands on it at some point. Will this be the thing that moves the new season forward?

Also, Ward is in a scene that will definitely be a turning point in season 3. It looks like he's in danger because he's screaming while holding Deputy Shoupe (Cullen Moss). Why remains unclear. Then there’s the return of John B.’s father Big John Rutledge (Charles Halford), who appeared at the end of season 2 and agreed to help Carla Limbrey (Elizabeth Mitchell) (Elizabeth Mitchell).

In the teaser for season 3, it looks like Big John steps in at just the right time to save the Pogues from something bad. Surely, he'll show up in one of the cliffhanger endings that Netflix shows are known for. But we'll have to wait and see. ‘ Season 3 of Outer Banks could come out in the spring of 2023, according to fans of the show.

The first season of Outer Banks was released at the height of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in April 2020. The second season of Outer Banks came out in July of 2021.

We still don't have an official date for when Outer Banks Season 3 will come out. But since the teaser came out, many fans have started to think that new episodes might come out as soon as spring 2023.

One fan on Reddit thought that 2023 might be like April through July. "I'd say January to March," said someone else on Reddit. Keep an eye out for news about the official release.
