Season 3 of Starz's "Power: Ghost" may seem a little different.

The third season of the popular Starz program "Power: Ghost" has finished filming and will air in 2023.

We didn't really anticipate a significant change to occur thus early on in the new season.

When the show returns the following year, writer and executive producer Brett Mahoney will take over as showrunner. Courtney A. Kemp, the originator of the series and the brains behind the Power franchise, is replaced by Mahoney, who previously served as showrunner on Fox's Empire.

Do you anticipate any changes?

Ghost, which is executive produced by Chris Selak, Mark Canton, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and Michael Rainey Jr., also stars Mary J. Blige, Shane Johnson, and Gianni Paolo. The season three premiere will be directed by Geary McLeod, who also acts as supervising producer.

The cast of Power Book II: Ghost includes Paton Ashbrook, Cliff "Method Man" Smith, Larenz Tate, Melanie Liburd, Daniel Sunjata, Berto Colon, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tondeo, Alix Lapri, and Mary J. Blige. Tariq St. Patrick (Rainey Jr.), a freshman at Stansfield University with a promising future, is introduced in the first episode.

If it weren't for the double life he's leading, he would be the realization of his father's hopes. Tariq is still eluding a legacy that haunts him in season two.

When forced to decide to kill his professor, Tariq discovers that he is becoming farther distant from the people he has been battling to keep safe: his family. Tariq is aware that whatever must be given up in order to salvage what is left of his family because his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton) is under witness protection.
