Power Book II: Raising Kanan is set in the early 1990s and follows the teenage years of the notorious Power character, Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis). We saw Kanan's innocence erode as he was drawn deeper into his drug queenpin mother's world in the first season.
Patina Miller's Raquel "Raq" Thomas (Patina Miller) is a force to be reckoned with. His uncles, Marvin (London Brown) and Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays), are well-versed in this society.
When will the full season 2 trailer be released, despite the fact that Starz has only released a teaser video?
Season 2 of 'Raising Kanan' will premiere on August 14th.
The second season of Raising Kanan will premiere this summer, and we'll be focusing on family relationships this time. Curtis told Entertainment Weekly, "It's really the continuance of deeds and repercussions." "There's going to be some stuff going on, and you'll be able to watch how that molds and forms Kanan's psyche once more." The family is now in an altogether new environment with a completely different dynamic, so it's up to them to navigate it and figure out where they can and can't go. There are a lot of confusing things going on right now. It's incredible."
Season 2's plot has also been revealed by Starz. It says,Relive the highlights of season 1 🔥🎶

Raquel 'Raq' Thomas has taken control of the city's drug trade as season two begins, but her kid is slipping away. Kanan Stark returns to Queens worried about his future in the family business, and much more so about his past, thanks to Detective Howard's lingering secret. Raq pushes the business into hostile Mafia territory as Kanan seeks for the truth. Lou- Lou has other plans involving his new record company, but Raq isn't willing to let his side gig get in the way of her growth. Marvin fights to earn Jukebox's forgiveness and become the father she deserves, despite being Raq's loyal soldier. The bonds that unite this family are fraying, but Raq will go to any length to keep them together.
The entire trailer will most likely be released soon.
While the teaser trailer teases what's to come, the second season of Raising Kanan leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Fans are looking forward to seeing the whole trailer, which will give them a better indication of what to expect this season.
According to the teaser, there is a year's worth of time jump, and Kanan has been living away from his mother and Queens for that time. The complete trailer is expected to show where he's been and how Symphony (Toby Sandeman) helped him and Raq during that period.
Furthermore, other key characters, like as Unique (Joey Bada$$) and Famous, are omitted from the teaser (Antonio Ortiz).
There are also a few brand-new characters that we haven't seen yet. We'll get a release date when we come closer to the premiere, which is expected to be in mid-July, roughly a month away.
Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' will include new characters to the cast.
This season, in addition to gaining a better idea of what this second season is about, several new characters will be joining the cast of Raising Kanan. This season, we'll meet Jukebox's mother Kenya (LaToya Luckett), who returned to New York when her aspirations of stardom fell through. Kenya now lives in Harlem, where the church has taken on a life of its own.
Cartier "Duns" Fareed (Omar Dorsey) is a flamboyant businessman who wants to grow his company beyond New York and into Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. Marvin appears to be getting some expert aid at long last. Renée Timmons is his anger management therapist (Krystal Joy Brown).
Lou Lou and Crown's (Quincy Brown) record label is set to sign a new vocalist named Zisa (Paulina Singer). Finally, as Raq ventures into perilous mob territory, she will run into Sal Boselli, the mob boss (Sopranos alum Michael Rispoli).
