Despite their rocky relationship, Kim Kardashian continues to respect her ex-husband Kanye West for his position as a father.
On Sunday, the reality star and business mogul honored West with a series of lovely Father's Day comments on Instagram.
"Thank you for being such a wonderful father to our children and for loving them so much!" Kardashian said on her Instagram Story, which included a throwback snapshot of West smiling outdoors with his four children: North, 9, Chicago, 4, and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 3. "You have a wonderful Father's Day."
In a second photo, Kardashian showed West wearing black sunglasses while playing with North, Saint, and Reign Disick, who looks to be their cousin.
After seven years of marriage, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. While West has been vocal about the breakup, Kardashian has stated that she is taking "the high road."
"I think that's just who I am," Kardashian said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in March, according to Yahoo Entertainment. "I always saw such a good example in my mom and dad and their relationship, so I'm always just hopeful." "Whatever happens, you have to remember that [Kanye] is the father of my children. I'll always be guardian. I always want my children to see the best of the greatest, so I try — as difficult as it is at times — to ignore it and do what is best for them."
Pete Davidson is the current boyfriend of the reality star.
Kardashian also paid tribute to her former step-father, Caitlyn Jenner, who was married to her mother Kris Jenner for 23 years until the couple divorced in December 2014. In June 2015, Jenner announced her transition on the cover of Vanity Fair.
"Thank you for raising us and being the best stepfather," Kardashian wrote alongside Jenner in the shot, which also included her sisters Kendall, Kylie, Kourtney, and Khloé. "Have a wonderful Father's Day."
Kardashian also paid tribute to her father, Robert Kardashian, who died in 2003 from esophageal cancer.
"Happy Father's Day to the greatest father on the planet! The kids asked me how I would celebrate today with you if you were in heaven, and they came up with the loveliest ideas: "Kardashian captioned a photo of herself and her father as teenagers. "I miss you terribly and love you with all my heart."
