When will Outlander season 7 premiere? Will there be a major midseason break?

Understandably, there is a great deal of interest in the Outlander season 7 start date, but for the sake of this post, we want to explore beyond that. To be particular, why not explore what the season's schedule could look like in its entirety?

In any case, we believe that Starz has more possibilities than they have had for the program in quite some time, beginning with the fact that they have sixteen episodes to deal with from beginning to end.

This is the largest order they've received since the first season, and if you recall, items were distributed in a somewhat specific manner during that season. Is it reasonable to anticipate a similar outcome this time around?

It seems to be the case. In fact, it would be exceedingly unusual for Starz to air all ten episodes of Outlander season 7 without a break – heck, they seldom air ten episodes of any show without a break of at least one week. It seems absurd to believe that they would do something completely different in this situation. The most reliable forecast is that this season will be divided into two groups of eight episodes, with a break in the midst. The question is the duration of this pause.

Now, we believe that there will be at least a few months between the season's first and second sections. We hope that the season will be divided into distinct summer and winter halves, since this would be a smart approach to generate buzz and shorten the time between this season and the eighth and final one, which may not begin filming for some time.

However, we cannot discount the financial benefits of this approach for Starz, as they would receive subscribers for two distinct periods, which, depending on when people join / terminate their subscriptions, could result in somewhat higher advertising money.

Hopefully, when an official launch date for season 7 is announced (which could occur within the next month or two), at least a portion of the picture will become evident. The sooner we receive answers, the more optimistically we anticipate the future.
