Since Julia Quinn's books were turned into TV shows and came out on December 25, 2020, many fans said it was the perfect Christmas present after a year full of COVID.
Season 2 came out in March 2022 after a long wait, and it was all about Anthony Bridgerton. After Stranger Things, this show is now the second most-watched on Netflix, and fans can't wait for season three to come out.
Up until season 3, the Netflix seasons have followed the order of Quinn's books. It will be interesting to see how some of the connections are made in the next season, which will focus on Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan), not Benedict.
Penelope has liked Colin Bridgerton for a long time, but he has never liked her back. After hearing him talk about her in the second season, Penelope gives up on getting with Colin and tries to find a husband who will give her enough freedom to keep being Lady Whistledown in secret. When Colin gets back from his trip, he sees that Penelope isn't interested, and he's eager to win her over.
But what about the other people who were in Seasons 1 and 2?
Regé-Jean Page, who played the Duke of Hastings, was not in Season 2, and Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne, was only seen occasionally. Does this mean that Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) won't be in Season 3 as much? No, thank goodness! Simone Ashley told Vogue when she was interviewed:
"We're filming a dance this week, and the tone is so different from their story last season. It's sweet, endearing, and light."
From reading the interview, it seems like Kate's fans will get to see a new side of her as she gets used to her new job as viscountess. She continued by saying:
"Even though she seems tough, sometimes people who look like that are the softest on the inside. They get that kind of skin because they are weak. You can see her doubts and worries."
Kate as a Bridgerton will definitely be interesting to watch.
When Season 3 of Bridgerton will come out is still up in the air. People think that filming will go on until the end of the year. When it finally comes out, you can be sure that it will be more popular than ever.
